About Me: Oranges, Yoga, Turkeys, and Triumph!
With a lot of new faces around here I thought it’d be the perfect time to tell you a little bit about me: the lady here behind the computer! 😊
Here’s some of my story from a recent interview with Rachel of “Healthy Chicks” about how I got into Nursing and Health Coaching + some fun facts about me that may surprise you! I hope you enjoy!
I’m Kristen, and I live in Boston with the love of my life Mark and our furry boxer baby, Reba 🐶!
As a Registered Nurse with Bachelors degrees in both Psychology and Nursing and 10+ years of experience in a variety of acute hospital settings, I have seen first-hand the effects of not only diet on physical health, but also the intricate mind-body connection, and how this can drive our entire well being.
I have always had a love for people and health, and nursing perfectly combines the two. Currently working in the Neuroscience ICU step-down unit at Brigham & Women’s hospital, I bring holistic care to my bedside nursing practice. As a Certified Reiki Master, I perform Reiki on my patients to decrease pain and anxiety and promote healing.
This experience combined with my own personal struggles motivate me to continuously educate myself in all areas of health and wellness and put this into action through Health and Wellness Nurse Coaching! Starting my business “Nursing Your Way to Wellness” enabled me to help others, which is what gives me life and fuels my intense passion for wellness and all aspects of health!
