Since many of us are working from home for what may be awhile to come, I want to offer some of my best healthy tips that I use for productively working from home.  With a a little organization and planning, you can be productive and happy in your new home work space.  Let’s make the best of our time and effort and feel good doing it!

· Using the "Big 3" for my day

    • The 3 most important things that are priorities for me to complete

· Time blocking and using a timer when completing a task that I tend to drag out

· Minimizing distractions, such as phone on night mode or not near me, TV off, and if necessary letting my family know I am not available for the next few hours

· Creating lists for myself using post it notes or notebook

· Mindset: using language such as "I'm completing x" and "creating y" rather than "working on x", and having confident in my work

· Using a daily planner to keep myself organized and on track. For more on how the phases of our cycle can affect our productivity check out this post.

Research shows taking a break every 50 minutes is best to keep our minds sharp!

· Taking breaks every 50-60 minutes and getting fresh air and movement when possible

· Having a dedicated work space with everything I need and could need in my workspace (such as tea/water, pen/marker, sticky notes, planner, etc.) so I am not getting up to grab something, which easily leads to distraction and time wasted.
