How I Meal Plan to Save Time, Money, and Energy

Do you wish you could set yourself up for a successful week, save time, money, and energy with healthy, nutritious meals?

You deserve to have all the energy you need to do all of the things your full schedule demands. If you are tired of trying to think of what to have for dinner after a long day or could do without hearing your kids ask "what's for lunch?" again, you're in the right place!

I am going to tell you about how I loosely plan meals for the week-a question I get all the time from health coaching clients. Meal planning not only saves me time, money and energy, but helps set me up for a healthy and productive week. It also acts as a snowball effect into other areas of my life, where I feel more streamlined and organized and better able to do all the things I love!

This is just a loose plan that allows for movement and flexibility, but gives some structure you can count on. Follow the four tips I use below and see for yourself!

Creating a loose meal plan will save you time, money, and energy while supporting your health!

1) Look at what's in season and what is fresh right now.

• It will be the best tasting, most nutrient dense, and also the most affordable.

2) Look at what's on sale or special at your local farmers market, grocery store, or CSA.

• Save your hard earned money and plan around what’s on special this week. Chicken breasts on sale...looks like we’re having chicken tacos this week! 😉

3) Keep in mind what will fit you and your family's schedule and tastes that week.

• Do you know that Mondays you tend to need something quick and easy? Plan on a Crockpot/IP recipe to do the work for you. Friday, do you feel like a casual pizza night? Plan on portabello pizzas or sweet potato mini pizzas!

4) Write down your loose plan in your planner, calendar, or even on a post It note!
